Please join new Silver Sands resident and certified 500 hour level yoga Instructor Kelley Belanger as she leads Hatha yoga classes beginning Tuesday, December 6.

When: Tuesday and Friday mornings, 10:00 - 11:00 am

Where: Silver Sands Community Clubhouse
(We may also practice outside as weather permits and class desires.)

What: Hatha yoga classes: All levels of experience and abilities welcome!

Cost: $10 per class

Benefits: Increased flexibility, strength, balance, calm, decreased mental and physical tension/pain

Instructor: Kelley Belanger
Kelley has been practicing yoga since age 15 and has been a certified instructor since 2017. She teaches Hatha and chair yoga online and has certifications and experience in teaching various styles including senior yoga, Yin yoga, mindfulness and meditation practices and yoga for pain relief and stress reduction.
Bring: A yoga mat plus a blanket and yoga blocks if you use them!

Monday Mahjong

Mahjong is played at the clubhouse on Mondays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. starting on November 7. Everyone is welcome! No signups…just come! Bring your 2022 mahjong card and a few quarters (we play for a quarter a game)!

Crafts on Wednesday

The crafts group is looking forward to getting together once again, starting on October 26 (no meeting on November 23). We meet on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the clubhouse. Bring a project of your choice. Finish works that have been put away or attempt something new. Please join us!

Thursday Bridge

Welcome back bridge players! We play in the lounge every Thursday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sign up on the roster on the clubhouse bulletin board by the Monday prior or email the bridge coordinator Jody Nyvall. We play Chicago style and the fee is $2 each. The season begins November 3 - hope to see you there!

Due to COVID-19 and scheduling issues, the social committee is canceling the New Homeowners evening planned for this year. We’re hoping to do something special in the Fall.

We’ve noticed many of the new folks already getting involved with our Silver Sands activities. “Old" homeowners, if you haven’t already done so, take a few minutes to meet your new neighbors and encourage them to participate. “New" homeowners, don’t be shy. If you haven’t already done so, try something new or old - tennis, pickleball, mahjong, bridge, crafts, etc. and join a committee (sign-ups are due by February 15).
 
Committees are a great way to get involved and meet new people. Sign up for the next year by contacting SCarr@drminternet.com. Just give your name, email address and phone number and the committee you would like to join. You can find a list of committees here.​​
