Attention all Tennis and Pickleball Players – We are transitioning to the new booking system on January 15th

The current booking system will be discontinued at the end of the day on Saturday January 14th. You will continue to use it for your ‘5 day’ out bookings until the 14th. On the 15th you will switch to Court Reserve. All the future bookings you have made in the current system will be automatically moved to Court Reserve.

You should have already received a welcome email from Court Reserve with your new login information. Log in and check your personal information to insure everything is correct. Some phone numbers didn’t transfer over so please add yours if necessary. It is best to provide a cell phone number as the system has the ability to send text messages. If there are multiple accounts within a household we have set you up as a ‘Family’ group. This will allow you to make bookings, changes or event signups for your partner/spouse/child.

If you do not receive a welcome email please email Karen Brown or follow this link and click on the ‘Create Account’ button and fill in the form.

Three training sessions will be provided if you need help with the transition. They will be held at the clubhouse at 11:30 am on Saturday January 14th, Sunday January 15th and Monday January 16th.

The Court Reserve app can be downloaded from the Apple and Google app stores. Every Wednesday beginning November 9
Play starts at 4:30pm
Happy Hour Social at the clubhouse at 6:00 pm.

The 2022/23 pickleball program has just been released. We have an exciting schedule of weekly and monthly events planned for this season with several different formats and options which we will adjust depending on players’ enthusiasm and participation. Check it out here.
 

Pickleball Pro/Coordinator

Our new pickleball Pro/Coordinator, Linda Miller, is super excited to meet you all and get this season started. As we have another Linda Miller in our group, our Pro/Coordinator will go by Coach Linda. She will be on site Tuesday and Thursday mornings for club activities, and available for private lessons otherwise. See the website for details. Communication

Coach Linda is testing the chat application GroupMe for player communications. We encourage all players to join:

1.     Download GroupMe on your phone, tablet and/or computer.
2.     Create a free account using your name and email address.
3.     After completing steps 1 and 2, join the group SSRC PB or use the link: https://groupme.com/join_group/89835245/ezchjC7F
4.     After you join, you will land on the main message board where you can view and post group messages. All other actions such as viewing the member list, changing your profile, and muting notifications are available by clicking on the title at the top.

Pickleball Commitee

A big welcome to all pickleball players and to those who want to give the game a try. The 2022/23 Silver Sands pickleball season gets underway later this month and we have an exciting program of events and activities.

Pickleball Pro/Coordinator

Linda Landry Miller is our new pickleball pro coordinator and we are thrilled to have her joining us at Silver Sands. Linda will begin her duties the week of October 24 and will be working primarily Tuesdays and Thursdays but there will be some flexibility in her schedule. Linda is working with the pickleball committee on the development of a program that will bring the pickleball community together with some fun and exciting activities and instruction.

Online Booking System

Silver Sands has an on-line booking system for reserving pickleball courts as well as for viewing and registering for events and clinics. This system has been in place for the past few years and works extremely well. This year, the on-line booking system goes live on October 27 for court bookings beginning November 1.

Players already registered on the system are not required to do anything. For players who have not registered go to silversands.tennisbookings.com and follow the prompts to create an account. When your registration has been processed, you will receive an email with your login and password. To access the system, you either need to be an owner or renter.

1. Dinkin' Donuts: Tuesday October 25 at 8:30 am - a chance to meet the pro, sign up for pickleball events, clinics and lessons, and join in open play.
2. Pickleball Opening Day: Thursday Oct 27th at 9:00 am.
