Come out to the lawn by the back gate on Tuesday, March 14 for a Silver Sands bocce tournament. Bring your lawn chair, snacks and drinks. Beer will be available.
Sign up to play at 3:45 pm. Play begins at 4:00 pm.
Larry McMillian and Pat Carey will organize the tournament - two courts for the tournament and one for open play.
Everyone is welcome to come and watch the competition or join in the play.
Stop the Bleed is put on by the American College of Surgeons and has trained over one million people in the US.
You will learn three techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out:
How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound
How to pack a wound to control bleeding
How to correctly apply a tourniquet.
These three techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life.

The Riverside Police Department has a Neighborhood Watch Program that can help bring you together with your neighbors and give you tools to help fight against crime.
You are invited to learn more about the program at a presentation by Stacey Austin, Crime Prevention Officer with the Riverside County Sheriff.
