Thank you to everyone who responded to the recent survey from the security advisory committee on the use of the front gate attendants. The survey was sent on March 5 with two reminders (March 7 and 10) to those who had not yet responded. The responses were tabulated after the close of the survey at 5:00 p.m. on March 11.

The return rate was 75% with 195 individual households completing the survey. This is considered an excellent response and we can be extremely confident that the results are representative of the community. The full results of the survey are available here.

The security advisory committee has studied the results of the survey and has prepared a report with recommendations which will be on the agenda for the April 5 open board meeting.

On March 29 and 31 Silver Sands will be hosting a tennis exchange with Sunrise Country Club.

On Tuesday March 29, nine men from Sunrise will join our weekly men’s competitive social event.

On Thursday March 31, nine women from Sunrise will join the women’s competitive social. There will be 15 spots available each day for Silver Sands players.

Please sign up early on the booking system as you normally would.

We ask that everyone bring a snack to share and enjoy some social time together after tennis.

Rosie Casals, 12 time tennis Grand Slam champion, is coming to Silver Sands. Rosie will be conducting a clinic for women on March 24.

The clinic will run from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm with lunch and Q & A with Rosie to follow.

The cost is $30 per person with proceeds going to the LOVE & LOVE Tennis Foundation which supports Junior tennis in the Coachella Valley.

Please sign up for the clinic online and make cash payment to D’Wayne at the pro shop or Geri Buchman and Nancy Jacoby.

Limited to 30 women.
All levels welcome.
Everyone is invited to come and watch and hear Rosie speak.
